BBQ's & PIZZA EVENTS
Join us the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5PM. During the summer months we gather on our outside patio at KPAO to enjoy hamburgers, hotdogs and other refreshments. During the winter months we meet inside the club house. On the second Sunday of each month at noon we meet at our San Carlos clubhouse. Check calendar for exact dates and times in case of change.
CALIFORNIA PASSPORT PROGRAM
There are 240 public use, paved airports in California. As California based pilots, we have a unique opportunity to visit places that the general public just can’t get to in any reasonable amount of time. Why would anyone want to visit all of those out of the way airports? The answer is simple – because you can! West Valley Flying Club has a Passport Program that kicked off in June 2010. The idea is to get out and visit as many airports as possible. There is no time limit and there are prizes and recognition for those that make it to 25, 50, 100 and 200 airports. You can have a fun filled morning, afternoon, or day. Visit airports by hopping from one to the next and exploring them all.
AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS
West Valley is proud to offer two annual scholarships in memory of two of our employees, pilots, and instructors. Gianni Manganelli & Lorne Lawry. Deadlines for scholarships are November 30 each year.

GARMIN G1000 TRAINING
Many of our aircraft feature what is commonly known as "Glass Cockpits" or G1000 systems. Quickly learn how to fly these state of the art navigation systems. We also offer 4 G1000 simulators. Many of aircraft features these systems and regular members receive one free hour per month on each of the PFC G1000 simulators (a $225 per month value).

ANNUAL POKER RUN
Put together a team with your fellow pilots, come up with a cool team name, and fly to 5 regional airports to reveal your poker hand. The best hand wins! Fun T-shirts will be provided to all participants. Held annually in May!
FLYING WITH FIZZDO
To celebrate his 10-year anniversary of our club cat, Fizzdo, we're running a Flying with Fizzdo Photo Contest. Grab a super-realistic cardboard cutout of our superhero cat and take him flying with you. Pictures can be entered to win a "Best Picture" prize.
